Warning

If you don't select a process template, only the BOM and CAD data will carry over to FactoryLogix—no model point mapping will take place!

...

  1. Map the V7 model points to the appropriate FactoryLogix operations, then select Finish to begin importing the V7 project into FactoryLogix.

Status messages alert you to the progress of the import. When the import is complete, FactoryLogix will open the newly-created process in the Process Definition window. The CAD and BOM are imported and the Process Flow node of the Process Tree is selected. Any V7 import errors or information are displayed at the bottom of the Process Tree in the Visual Aid Import Log.

There are several Mapping Options available to assist in mapping the process revision operations:

...

Note

When mapping multiple V7 model points to a single FactoryLogix operation, each V7 model point will appear as a step within the FactoryLogix operation.

  • If the mapped model points have part assignments, each of the newly-created steps in the operation will contain the part assignments from their respective V7 model point.

  • If an operation is inherited from another operation that was mapped from multiple V7 model points, the inherited operation will inherit all part assignments from each of the mapped model points.

  • When mapping a model point to an operation where the operation has its part assignments inherited from another operation, the mapped operation will be changed to a color-coded step if not already set as one in the process template. This ensures that the step becomes automated to allow for the part assignments to map to the step’s activities.
