For panelized assemblies, circuit mappingat the operation-level is used to map defects to the correct circuit in a panel when a machinedoesn'tuse standard sequence numbers for circuits (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, for example). If a machine generates “Board1” or “0” for the circuit number instead of “1”, you can map these values appropriately to the first circuit to ensure the defect is collected against thecorrectcircuit.
To modify the circuit mapping, follow these steps.
Log into theNPIclient application and open the CAD file for the panelized assembly.
Double-click the desired operation.
Select the step where you want to map the circuits.
Select theDocument Toolstab, then select theCircuit Mappingtoolbar button.
In theCircuit Mappingdialog, use theMapped Circuit Locationcolumn to map the circuits by entering the desired sequence or name for each circuit.
