The ability to zoom a specific area of a 3D CAD assembly allows you to get a closer look at specific sub-assemblies or individual parts.


Master View before zooming

  1. In the Process Definition window, do one of the following:

    • Right-click the area of the 3D CAD assembly you want to zoom, then select Zoom from the menu.

    • Select an area or a specific part, then roll the wheel on your mouse to the desired zoom level.

      Note:

      Depending on how the 3D CAD file was created, you may be able to select the Zoom command more than once for an even closer view of a specific assembly area.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • If you selected the Zoom command in Step 1, you can restore a zoomed view by right-clicking the assembly and selecting Show All from the menu.
    • If you used the mouse wheel to zoom in Step 1, roll the wheel in the opposite direction to restore the full view of the assembly.

  3. To save a zoomed area of the assembly as a new view, select the New View New View button button, select the Edit button Edit button (the pencil), then name the zoomed view.

  4. Select the Save Save button button to the right of the view name to save the zoomed view. 

  5. To restore the original view of the assembly, right-click the zoomed view and select Show All from the menu.
