Packout

Packout is a special step type in an operation that allows process engineers to define packing list items to be placed into pre-defined boxes in inventory. A packing list can consist of completed assemblies created in production as well as additional materials or items from inventory. With packout, operators in production are guided step-by-step in the selection of boxes and the items to be packed in the box. This functionality can also validate assemblies so that no open defect indictments exist and each unit has completed all of its defined route steps. It is also possible to include items not known to the FactoryLogix inventory system, if desired.
