Settings button

Global options in FactoryLogix Office affect how users interact with FactoryLogix features and functions and control all aspects of the system. Global option settings combined with user roles and permissions allow different types of access to all areas of the system.

FactoryLogix administrators access global options in the Settings area of the FactoryLogix Office client application.

Note

Only a member of the Administrator group can configure default values for FactoryLogix global options.

Global options categories

Important

Your license type determines the features and functionality you can access in the FactoryLogix system. Throughout the documentation, it's important to note that the options you see in the FactoryLogix user interface depend on the license type assigned to you. 

The following categories of global options are available to configure; select a link to view the settings for a category:

Access global options

  1. Log into the FactoryLogix Office client application as an administrator, then select System Configuration >Settings to display the Global Options tab.  

  2. Select a category under Settings Category on the left side of the window to view the global options in that category.

Tip

To search for a global option, select any column header on the right side of the window (Option Name, for example), then press Ctrl+F. In the Search box that displays at the top of the window, enter a search string, then press Enter. All categories containing the search string you entered are highlighted in Yellow. (Select the Close button to end the search and view all options.)
