  1. Log into the NPI client application.
  2. Select Templates and Standards Templates and Standards buttonImage Modified > Define Quality Standards.
  3. Select the Opportunity Methodology tab.
  4. Under Default (Base) Opportunity Counts Per Unit, select a value for each of the following fields: Assembly, Population (Polarized), Connection, Component, Population (Non-Polarized), and Other.

  5. Under Counts Per Occurrence, select a value for each of the following fields: Component, Population (Polarized), Connection, and Population (Non-Polarized).
  6. Select Save to save this opportunity methodology.
