When you upgrade to a new FactoryLogix website release, you'll need to edit the appsettings.json file again and restart IIS to reestablish the credentials and connection to the FactoryLogix website.

  1. Locate and open the following file: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\FactoryLogixWebsite\appsettings.json in Notepad or another *.txt file editor.

  2. On Line 11 "Key", enter a random string of alphanumeric characters which will be used to generate user and session tokens on the server.

  3. On line 13 “Audience”, enter the address and port of the webserver where the FactoryLogix website will run.

  4. On line 18 “AppServiceServerName”, enter the name of the server where the FactoryLogix Application Service is running.

  5. On line 19 “DefaultDatabaseConnectionName”, enter the name of the FactoryLogix database connection.

  6. Save and close the file.

  7. Select Start, enter cmd, then select Run as Administrator to open a command prompt window.

  2. Enter iisreset to restart IIS and update your IIS settings.

    When IIS is restarted successfully, you will see a confirmation message.
