FactoryLogix NPI drives shop floor assembly production by displaying customizable operator guidance. You can even customize the shop floor user interface itself and tailor it to the specific operations being performed.
An Operator Interface template is the dashboard an operator uses to perform steps in an operation. For example, the Standard FactoryLogix Assembly Operation (Tracked) template is ideally suited for use in an operation where assembly steps take place.
Operator Interface templates are assigned to steps instead of a specific operation. For example, a single operation can have multiple templates if the operation contains multiple steps.
Standard Operator Interface templates
The NPI client application has a set of standard Operator Interface templates you can use and customize or you can easily create and apply your own templates. The standard template library includes typical operations found in electronics manufacturing:

Open a standard Operator Interface template
To open/edit a standard Operator Interface template, follow these steps.
Log into the NPI client application.
Select Templates and Standards > Operator Interface Templates.
Select the template you want to open, then select OK.
Note icon false title Note: The check box on the right side of the window indicates the default template. After you open an Operator Interface template, you can make it the default template by selecting the Mark as Default button.
Select the Properties button to view a description of the template.
