The Enterprise Warehouse Service controls interactions between the site level and the enterprise level and receives data upload requests. At the site level, the Report Scheduler Service checks to make sure registrations are valid and polls the server every few minutes to look for schedule changes. The Report Scheduler service is composed of two services: a data extraction service that performs data transformations and a transmitter service that runs continuously and scans for data to send to the Enterprise server.
Each site (factory) registers with the FactoryLogix Enterprise Service. On a predefined schedule, data from each FactoryLogix site transactional database is synchronized with the Enterprise Warehouse database automatically.
After the enterprise administrator completes these steps, enterprise data begins processing automatically:
Specify Windows features.
Create the Enterprise Warehouse database and specify the default database for data collection.
Create the Enterprise BI website.
Add a tenant and test the connection to the Enterprise BI website.
