CFX Gateway options
When you start the CFX Gateway, you see these options on the left side of the window:

- Users – Defines the registry of approved users who can access and configure the CFX Gateway
- Connection Profiles – Defines OPC UA connections on the PLC side of the CFX Gateway
- Equipment Profiles – Defines the common properties that can be shared across multiple devices
- Devices – Defines each device the CFX Gateway will present as a CFX-compliant device
- Settings – Defines a singular connection to a CFX broker and provides options to set up a connection license for each device you configure (the license is activation code-based—your activation code is supplied by Aegis).

Two-part configuration
Configuring a device comprises two elements:
- The properties shared across one or more devices of the same type
- The properties specific to a particular device
