Introduction

The PLC-CFX Gateway (also referred to as the CFX Gateway) makes a PLC-controlled tool or device appear as a CFX compliant machine—without any PLC programming.

The CFX Gateway converts PLC tag data into CFX messages that are then communicated to any solution capable of receiving CFX messages. In addition, the gateway can make CFX Requests (Request/Response pattern), the results of which can be communicated back to the PLC.
