Prerequisites
Before creating machine programs, ensure that these prerequisites are met:
FactoryLogix Office has workstations defined with specific machines added to the Factory Resources area.
You already imported BOM and ECAD files.
You set or verified the polarity on required part numbers.
You confirmed any panelization and panel board frames.
You assigned parts to the process flow for the assembly.
You set fiducials and confirmed the fiducial number in the ECAD area of the Process Definition window (fiducials can be set in the Machine Programming area but it is beneficial to do it beforehand).
High-level steps
High-level machine programming steps are outlined below; the remaining topics in this guide provides details about the steps.

Important Before you can set up for machine programming, your factory resources must be defined (factories, areas, and workstations). SeeĀ Create a factory and set up factory resources for more information. If necessary, consult your administrator for help setting up factory resources before you set up machine programming. |
Log into FactoryLogix Office.
Open an assembly in the Process Definition window.
Add machine programming to the Line Programming area of the process definition by selecting Add
...
> Add Programming menu command.
Select the operation where part assignments were made in the process flow.
Select the machine/workstation to program (taken from factory resources).
Select the Edit Properties
...
button (the Yellow cog wheel) and ensure that all machine-specific information is correct and doesn't need to be modified.
Select Board Geometry, then set up the board origin, top, bottom, and fiducials.
Select Part Management and Troubleshooting, then select the Setup
...
button to display the Setup dialog for the machine. Validate fiducials, placements, and feeder setup options and correct any errors.
Select Angle Resolution and use the Machine Angle Correction Center to correct and fix the rotations.
