Note

Before upgrading your FactoryLogix software, we recommend you review the current FactoryLogix Recommended system specification to make sure there are no changes required or prerequisites that might affect your upgrade.


Be sure to validate this checklist before starting the upgrade procedures. If any of these items is not complete at the time of the upgrade, suspend the upgrade until all checklist items are completed.

  •  Ensure your FactoryLogix servers are running version 8.171.2.x or higher.
  •  Administrative access to the database and FactoryLogix servers. For each machine you're upgrading, you need credentials for a user account with local administrative permissions.
  •  Service account created in the domain for Aegis:

  •  SQL authentication account created:

  •  FactoryLogix authentication account created:

  •  Aegis software on-hand: FactoryLogix Applications.exe and FactoryLogix Server.exe.
  •  Backup copy of the license file (*.lic) from the License Server's Program Files\Aegis\FactoryLogix Server directory.
  •  Record current version of FactoryLogix (prior to upgrade): ___________________________
  •  Perform a full FactoryLogix database backup.
