Logistics displays the following primary functions when you log into the website:

Note:

Some Logistics functions require specific permissions. If you don't have access to a particular function, check with your FactoryLogix administrator.

The following table describes the primary Logistics functions.

FunctionDescription
Change Part NumberAllows you to change an existing part number quickly when scanning material already known to the system. For example, your factory might support  part numbers for existing materials that are required to use brackets or specific part number suffixes in inventory.
Dispatch Management

Allows dispatch managers to effectively track and assign any pending transport orders and fulfill equipment requests. You can assign (dispatch) transport equipment and ensure the proper materials and equipment are moved correctly and efficiently throughout the factory.

Empty UIDAllows you to zero out or change the quantity of a UID.

Execute Transport Orders

Allows you to select parts on a transport order.
Find MaterialSearches all stock locations for specific part numbers, UIDs, and all parts in a specific location.
Freight RegisterDisplays all upcoming and delivered shipments.
Label Inventory

Allows you to view the list of required part numbers to be changed and to perform the Change Part Number action for multiple UIDs. A table lists the available inventory changes including the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), ownership, and part number changes.

Note:

A Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) identifies important details behind each activity in the manufacturing process. Project managers can use WBS information to eliminate unknowns and to identify variables that could impact manufacturing progress. Please note that WBS information can only be added to FactoryLogix by using an xTend integration.

Move To Stock

Moves a material instance to a stock location.
Receive Shipment Tracks incoming shipments (tracking numbers) to purchase orders (PO) and then moves the shipments to the appropriate staging stock areas.
Remove from StockRemoves an item from a stock location. That item can't be reserved for a future batch until it is placed back into stock.
Remove ShipmentRemoves a shipment that was entered in error.

Re-Print Label

Reprints a label that has been damaged (or just needs to be reprinted).
Reset QuantityAllows you to adjust/set a UID quantity.
Reverse Depletion

Reverses the depletion of a UID. Once the UID is found, you can enter a new quantity.

Splice UIDAllows you to select two partial reels of SMT parts by UID and splice them together.
Split UIDAllows you to select a reel of SMT parts by UID, split it into two reels, and create a new material instance for the second reel.
