You can customize a BOM by changing the column order and sorting column data. When you make these customizations to a BOM that is "under construction" then save the BOM file, the same column configuration is applied to the next new BOM you open (even if you close and re-open NPI before opening a new BOM). By applying these customizations to new BOM files automatically, you will save valuable time when using similar columns and column sorting for multiple BOM files.
Note:
If you remove or add columns to a BOM and then save the BOM, those customizations are not applied to new BOM files you open.
