If any of the following services is running on your system, we recommend stopping the services before proceeding with the upgrade:
FactoryLogix Real-Time Analysis Service
FactoryLogix Report Scheduler Service
FactoryLogix Alarm Service
FactoryLogix Integration Service
FactoryLogix Enterprise License Manager Service
FactoryLogix xLink Service
FactoryLogix xTend API Service
Warning!
The upgrade installer will attempt to stop these services. If any of the services is processing a large amount of data at the time the installer runs, the service may fail to start, and the upgrade installation may fail.
You only need to run the FactoryLogix upgrade installation on systems that are running any of these components:
FactoryLogix NPI
FactoryLogix Production
FactoryLogix Analytics
FactoryLogix Application Service
xLink Server
xTend API Service
Real-Time Analysis
Report Scheduler
Alarm Service
Integration Service
Upgrade the server
Locate and double-click FactoryLogix Server.exe.
When prompted to Upgrade the server applications, select Yes to start the upgrade process.
When the upgrade is completed, click Finish.
Note:
The amount of time the upgrade takes depends on the number of components installed in the system and system performance.
Update the client
If your system currently has a standalone client installation, locate and double-click FactoryLogix Applications.exe. (If a ClickOnce client is currently installed, the client will update by itself.)
When prompted to Upgrade the client applications, select Yes to start the upgrade process.
When the upgrade is completed, click Finish.
