Alarm triggers
An alarm trigger is the condition for which an alarm reaction should be executed. For example, quality managers might want to know when yield drops below a certain level in production to prevent it from dropping further. In this example, you would configure two levels of triggers for yield alarms for which users might configure different Alarm Reaction templates:
Set a warning threshold to send an email warning the appropriate personnel that a condition on the factory floor is starting to go out of its boundaries.
Set a threshold to not only send an email, but also send a line stop to an inForce unit to prevent more assemblies from being built incorrectly.

Available alarm triggers are shown in the following table.

Note
The following example assumes that you already created two Alarm Reaction templates: A Warning Email template and a Line Stop template.
Alarm trigger example
Log into the Analytics client application, then select Alarms.
Select the Alarm Triggers tab.
Select the Quality (Yield) category on the left side of the window, then select the Operation First Pass Yield trigger under Trigger Types.
Select the Add New button, then enter a Name and optional Description. (For this example, we named the trigger First Pass Yield Trigger.)
You can set the warning and error thresholds along with the desired alarm reaction template to "fire" once each threshold is reached.Specify a Trigger Start Point of 15% to prevent excessive alarms resulting in the first or second assembly failing which would result in a First Pass Yield of 0% or 50% respectively.
Under Warning Threshold, enter 98% next to When operation yield rises to or above.
Next to When operation yield drops below 98%, select Warning Email Template from the fire reaction template drop-down.
Under Error Threshold, enter 95% next to When operation yield rises to or above.
Next to When operation yield drops below 95%, select Line Stop Template from the fire reaction template drop-down.
Select the Active check box at the bottom of the window to make the new alarm trigger available/functional, then select Save.
