These instructions are for the enterprise administrator who creates the FactoryLogix website. (Site administrators configure each site.)
Select the Windows Start button, enter IIS, then select Open to start Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
In the Main IIS window, right-click Sites in the tree and select Add Website.
Name the website FactoryLogix Website (or something else).
Select Browse (...) under Physical Path, then navigate to: \inetpub\wwwroot\FactoryLogixWebsite
Select the Connect as… button, select the Specific User option and enter the credentials of a local administrator account with rights to the database, select Set, then select OK.
Important!
The FactoryLogix Website requires Secure HTTP (HTTPS) - to that end, you will need to set up a security certificate in IIS. Ensure that the port number you assign to the website isnotalready assigned to another website (the FactoryLogix Enterprise Warehouse, for example) or port 8080 which is used for certain communications with the Real Time Service.UnderEdit Bindings, set thePortto use for the website, then selectOK. The default Secure HTTP port in IIS is 443.
