The final step in the life cycle of any non-conformance is closing it. As part of the non-conformance profile definition, you can configure a series of requirements that must be met before a non-conformance can be closed. For example, if root cause and/or corrective action plans are mandatory, the non-conformance cannot be closed until the root cause is established and all corrective/preventive action plans are executed and approved.

You can configure an approval process for closing non-conformances. When all configured checks are verified, the approval process is initiated. When the final approval process is complete, the non-conformance is closed automatically.
