FactoryLogix support for SOLIDWORKS Composer Player files includes defect collection.

Here are the key points to remember:

  • You can associate an inspection code to an element on a 3D Composer model. FactoryLogix will color the selected object, making it easy to identify where a defect is located on the overall assembly. These colors also persist beyond the current view.

    Important!

Coloring parts and selecting specific part items is limited to the Composer Player Pro version only.

  • In the Free version of the Composer Player, you can only tie an inspection code to a part number by selecting it---it will not change colors or zoom to the specific instance of that part.
  • When using defect collection features, note these color indicators:

    • An object with an OPEN defect will be colored Red.
    • An object with a defect marked as FIXED will be colored Gold.
    • An object with a defect marked as CLOSED will be colored Green.

  • To zoom in to a part, click and hold down the mouse button as the Composer Player software zooms in.
  • The coloring of the defect indictments persists to all other Composer views.
