Vendor Library button

The Vendor Library keeps track of your vendors' account details. You can also record each vendor's quality sampling plan and receiving process as well as the type of label used for the vendor.

A quality sampling plan is a process where predefined rules determine a quantity of parts that must be inspected before the parts can be added to stock. You can create multiple sampling plans for different types of parts in FactoryLogix based on the criticality of quality.

Receiving processes in FactoryLogix are similar to production process flows; engineers are simply defining the flow of materials as they are received into the factory. Receiving processes may be simple, such as validating quantities and assigning unique identifiers (UIDs) or they can be complex, with sampled inspection and testing of incoming materials.

When materials are received from vendors, they usually have a vendor label affixed to each part instance. These vendor labels may have one-dimensional (1D) barcodes, two-dimensional (2D) barcodes, or a combination.
