ASCII format is the default Generated Program Format in the Properties dialog. The Properties dialog for ASCII only has one tab: General. The following table describes the ASCII options.

ASCII | General | Path to Universal GSM Database - By selecting the browse button (the ellipsis ...), you can specify the location of the Universal database. Units - Display - The units that FactoryLogix will display in the machine programming interface (Inches, Mils, or Millimeters).
- Output - The units that will be used in the output file (Inches, Mils, or Millimeters).
Database Utilities - Compact - Compacts the Universal database.
- Clear All Data - Clears all existing data from the database.
Generated Program Format - Select the output format to generate from FactoryLogix (in this case, ASCII). Programming Options - Generate Kitting Report with Program - Generates a MS Excel file showing the setup of the machine for that particular run.
