These instructions are for the enterprise administrator who creates and configures the FactoryLogix website on a Windows Server.(See Set up Windows features for instructions for a Windows PC.)
Select Start, enter Server Manager, then select Server Manager to open the Server Manager Dashboard.
Under Configure this local server, select Add roles and features.
On the Select Installation Type page, select the Role-based or feature-based installation radio button, then select Next.
On the Select destination server page, select the current server or a different server where you want to install IIS, then select Next.
On the Select server roles page, select the Web Server (IIS) check box (if not already selected). If the check box is already selected, expand the Web Server node of the tree.
Ensure these IIS features are selected:
In the Web Server sub-category of Web Server (IIS), select the following options:
Common HTTP Features
Default Document
Directory Browsing
HTTP Errors
Static Content
HTTP Redirection
WebDav Publishing
Health and Diagnostics
Performance
Security
Application Development
Under Web Server (IIS), select Management Tools.
Select Next.
Select the Add Features button to confirm the addition of IIS to this server.
On the Select role services page, enable these options:
In the Web Server category,select the following options:
Common HTTP Features
Default Document
Directory Browsing
HTTP Errors
Static Content
HTTP Redirection
WebDav Publishing
Security
Request Filtering
Basic Authentication
Centralized SSL Certificate Support
Client Certificate Mapping Authentication
IIS Client Certificate Mapping Authentication
URL Authorization
Windows Authentication
In the Management Tools category, select IIS Management Console.
Select Next.
On the Confirm installation selections page, verify the new additions, then select the Install button.
Restart the Windows Server to complete the changes.
