PLCs in manufacturing


The CFX Gateway has the following characteristics:

  • Provides CFX capabilities to one or more devices controlled by a single PLC
  • Can communicate with multiple PLCs
  • Communicates with any PLC that is integrated with an OPC UA Server
  • Supports third party OPC servers such as Kepware, Matrikon, and others
  • Doesn't require any custom programming on the PLC-side or on the FactoryLogix side
  • Permits two-way communication between a PLC-controlled device and a CFX-compliant entity
  • Runs on a Windows or Linux operating systems
  • Uses Microsoft .NET 6

Allows a PLC-controlled device to appear as a CFX-compliant machine

Note:

The CFX Gateway supports IPC CFX Version 1.2 and newer.
