After you Specify a machine and add programming to your process definition in FactoryLogix Office, you're ready to edit the machine-specific properties and make any necessary changes.

Note:

Editing machine properties settings is a task you typically do one time and only modify when necessary.

  1. Under Line Programming in the Process tree, select Fuji Nexim under the operation you assigned it to previously (Auto Place, for example).
  2. In the Machine List window to the right of the Process tree, select the Edit Properties Edit Properties button button.

The General tab displays options to set up Fuji Nexim properties as described in the following table.

    Fuji Nexim Properties dialog

    OptionDescription
    FactoryLogix Database

Database Location - Specifies the location of your FactoryLogix database. To change the location, select the elipsis (...) button on the right side of the dialog, then select a new database location.

Compact Database - Compacts the FactoryLogix database.

Clear Database - Deletes all data in the FactoryLogix database.

    Fuji Database

DSN/Server - Specifies the DSN (Data Source Name)/server name of the Fuji database.

DB Type - Specifies the Fuji database type: Oracle or SQL.

    Schema/Prefix

Login Credentials - Specifies the User ID and Password of the Fuji user.

Test Connection - Select this button to test the connection to the Fuji database.

No Part Number Text - Defines the text that will be used in place of a part number when the program file generated by this machine interface includes an entry where no part number is known. (This situation occurs when a part number is on the CAD but not on the BOM.) FactoryLogix ensures that when a part number is missing from the generated machine program, the part number is reported as NOPARTNUMBER instead of an empty string.

    Note:

This No Part Number Text option is saved so an operator only needs to specify it one time. The default value is an empty string.
