ADMINISTRATOR

After your FactoryLogix system is installed and configured, you can set up the FactoryLogix Application Server and add a database connection.

  1. Start the NPI client application—but do not log in.

    NPI Settings

  2. On the Login screen, select Settings to open the Server Settings dialog.

  3. On the Application Server Settings tab, select Discover.

The discovery will return one or more Application Servers found on your local network.

Note

If the Application Server is not discovered (for example, if it is on another sub-net or discovery is being blocked), enter the server nanme or IP address, then select Enter to find the server.

  1. Select the appropriate Server Address from the list, then select OK to return to the NPI Login window.

Note

If you are logging into NPI for the first time on the Application Server or a client machine, the database connection should have been established during the server installation. If your FactoryLogix database is not already set up, see Create and configure the Database for details.

  1. If this is the first time you are logging into FactoryLogix, enter the username AegisAdmin and no password, then select Login to display the NPI Home window.
