After you Specify a machine and add programming to your process definition in FactoryLogix Office, you're ready to edit the machine-specific properties and make any necessary changes.

Note

Editing machine properties settings is a task you typically do one time and only modify when necessary.

  1. Under Line Programming in the Process tree, select Universal under the operation you assigned it to previously (Auto Place, for example).

  2. In the Machine List window to the right of the Process tree, select the Edit Properties image-20240830-153559.png button.

    Select the Edit Properties button

Important

Depending on the output format you select (ASCII, CDI, or CI2), you will see a dialog with one or more tabs that you will use to specify machine properties.

Universal Properties dialog

  1. Specify Universal machine properties depending on the output format you select under Generated Program Format (ASCII, CDI, or CI2) in the Properties dialog, then select OK when you're finished.

Important

Refer to the Properties dialogs - settings topic to review the inidivudal settings for the ASCII, CDI, and CI2 generated output formats.
