Back up the system partition

We recommend backing up the system partition after any configuration changes.

Important

If you don't back up the system partition regularly, recovering a database will be more difficult. It's very important to keep a current backup the system partition—or at least back up every change to the system configuration.

You can use the Windows Server 2008 Backup Schedule Wizard or other tools such as Veritas System Recovery to restore the system partition.
